Does JLPT include speaking or writing?
No — JLPT is multiple choice only. No speaking, no writing production. Other exams (J-Test, BJT) test these skills.
Which level do employers require?
N2 for most office jobs and university study. N1 for professional translation, journalism, or highly specialized roles.
How long to reach N2 from zero?
Approximately 1,600–2,800 hours of study from zero. From N4: ~600–1,200 additional hours.
What resources are best?

Can I retake the test the same year?
JLPT is offered only in July and December — so you can take it twice per year.
