What prerequisites do I need?

Must be 18+, have a high school diploma, and current CPR/AED certification before certification is issued.

Is NASM the best PT cert?

NASM is widely recognized. ACE, NSCA-CPT, and ACSM are also respected — NASM has largest US employer recognition.

How long should I study?

NASM recommends 10 weeks; most candidates study 2–3 hours per day for 8–12 weeks.

Do I need to renew?

Yes — 20 CECs every 2 years plus current CPR/AED.

How is NASM CPT different from NSCA-CPT?

NASM focuses on corrective exercise and the OPT model. NSCA is more scientific/research-based, favored in sports performance.
